RESOLUTION #60-1 -

RESOLUTION #60-2 - A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF THE JUDGMENT FUNDS WHICH ARE ON DEPOSIT IN THE UNITED STATES TREASURY.

RESOLUTION #60-3 - A RESOLUTION REQUESTING TO APPROVE THE EXPENDITURE OF THE $6,900 FOR THE PURPOSES DESIGNATED AND TO ALLOT AND ADVANCE THE MONEY TO THE BAND IN ORDER THAT IT MAY BE AVAILABLE TO COVER THE TYPING COST AND OTHER NECESSARY INCIDENTAL EXPENSES IN PREPARING THE PAYMENT FROM THE TRIBAL MEMBERSHIP ROLL.

RESOLUTION #60-4 - A RESOLUTION PROVIDING THAT MEMBERSHIP IN THE CITIZEN BAND OF POTAWATOMI INDIANS SHALL CONSIST OF "ALL PERSONS OF INDIAN BLOOD WHO WERE BONA FIDE MEMBERS OF THE CITIZEN BAND OF POTAWATOMI INDIANS AND WHO WERE ENROLLED OR WERE ENTITLED TO BE ENROLLED ON THE OFFICIAL CENSUS ROLL OF THE BAND AS OF JANUARY 1, 1937,"

RESOLUTION #60-5 - A RESOLUTION REGARDING STIPULATIONS BEING MADE DUE TO THE SMALL AMOUNT OF MONEY TO BE RECEIVED BY EACH MEMBER OF THE TRIBE AND SHALL NOT NECESSARILY BE CONSIDERED AS PRECEDENT FOR FUTURE JUDGMENT FUND PAYMENTS.

Finding AidResolutions missing: 60-1, 60-2 Pott-60-3 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the Business Committee of the Citizen Band of Potawatomi Indians, meeting in special session on August 10, 1959, exercising the authority granted to it in the act of July 17, 1959, (73 Stat. 220), passed Resolution Pott.60-2, authorizing the expenditure of the judgment funds which are on deposit in the United States Treasury, and WHEREAS, Resolution Pott.60-2, requested that $6,000. from the judgment money be set aside to meet operating and other expenses of the Business Committee, and WHEREAS, Resolution Pott. 60-2, requested that $900. from the judgment money be set aside for the purpose of paying Mrs. May Fairchild for services performed by her in developing the tribal membership roll, and WHEREAS, the balance remaining in the judgment fund is to be distributed per capita among those persons whose names appear on the membership roll NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Interior is hereby requested to approve the expenditure of the $6,900. for the pur- poses designated and to allot and advance the money to the Band in order that it may be available to cover the typing cost and other necessary incidental expenses in preparing the payment roll from the tribal membership roll. Pott-60-4 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, Article II, Sections 1 and 1(a) of the Constitution provides that membership in the Citizen Band of Potawatomi Indians shall consist of "All persons of Indian blood who were bona fide members of the Citizen Band of Potawatomi Indians and who were enrolled or were entitled to be enrolled on the official census roll of the Band as of January 1, 1937," and WHEREAS, some question may arise as to the requirements nec- essary to establish entitlement to be enrolled on the official census roll of the Band as of January 1, 1937, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that any person of Citizen Band Potawatomi Indian blood born prior to January 1, 1937, whose name is not on the official census roll of the Band of that date shall be deemed to be entitled to have his name included on said Census roll if he received an allotment or certificate as a Citizen Band Potawatomi Indian under the Acts of September 16, 1891 or May 23, 1872, or if he is a descendant of such allotee and if he is not enrolled as a member of some other tribe or band.
