DescriptionPOTT-60-3: Meeting in special session exercising the authority passed Resolution Pott.60-2 authorizing the expenditure of the judgement funds which are on deposit in the United States Treasury and Resolution Pott. 60-2 requested that $6000 from the judgement money to be set aside to meet operating and other expenses of the Business Committee Whereas Resolution Pott.60-2 requested that $900 from the judgement money be set aside for the purpose of paying Mrs. May Fairchild for services performed by her in developing the tribal membership roll and the balance remaining in the judgement fund is to be distributed per capita among those persons whose names appear on the membership roll.


POTT-60-4: Resolution- Any person of Citizen Band Potawatomi Indian Blood born prior to January 1, 1937, whose name is not on the official census roll of the Band of that date shall be deemed to be entitled to have his name included on said Census roll if he received an allotment or certificate as a Citizen Band Potawatomi Indian under the Acts of September 16, 1891 or May 23, 1872 or if he is a descendent of such allottee and if he is not enrolled as a member of some other tribe or band.


POTT-60-5: The Business Committee of the Citizen Band of Potawatomi meeting in special session passed Resolution 60-2, resolving the part of Resolution Pott. 60-2 pertaining to the preparation of the payment roll be amended and the following procedures shall apply in the preparation of the roll which is to be prepared specifically for the purpose of distributing the judgement fund: 1-The roll for the purpose of this payment shall be closed as of midnight October 15, 1959, 2- The roll prepare3d by Mrs. May Fairchild be available for inspection at her home for a period of 60 days,3-Mrs. Fairchild is authorized to act for the Band in determining whether applicants meet the membership requirements set out in the tribal constitution, 4- Appeals must be in writing addressed to the Secretary of the Interiors, 5-Upon completion of action on all applications and upon notice from the Secretary that all appeals have been determined the roll shall be completed, approved and reviewed by the Business Committee and shall be certified as containing the names of those persons entitled to be enrolled, 6-Each person whose name appears on the approved roll shall receive an equal share of the judgement fund, 7- Should persons determined eligible to participate in this distribution die before actual distribution is made then their share shall be paid to their heirs, 8- All persons known by the Shawnee Area Field Office Rep or the Tribal Officials to have been declared legally incompetent prior to the date of distribution shall have their money placed in an TIM account to be disbursed according to dept. regulations, 9- NO person known to be enrolled on any other tribal roll shall be entitled to share in this per capita payment.
