WHEREAS, the Potawatomi Indians of Oklahoma have operated a successful Indian Action Team Program in fiscal year 1977, and 1978, and, WHEREAS, the Potawatomi Indians of Oklahoma propose continuing a program of quality training for all area Indian youth, and, WHEREAS, success in training, success in placement service and improved curriculum have created an even greater demand for training which requires increased funding, and, WHEREAS, the Potawatomi Indians of Oklahoma elect to contract through local agency and area Bureau of Indian Affairs offices, and, WHEREAS, Paul Schmidlkofer is the Tribal Official authorized to negotiate and execute the grant contract or any amendments thereto, and, WHEREAS, the final grant contract will be reviewed and approved by the Business Committee. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: the Potawatomi Indians of Oklahoma will contract increased Indian Action Team funds through the local and area office of the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
