Finding AidRegular Business Committee Meeting Minutes: BC.BCM.Sept.19.1972: 1-Meeting called to order, a quorum of Mbrs were present and the meeting was held in the Tribal Office Building. 2- Motion was made that the Secretary write a letter of recommendation to the New Mexico Law School in Albuquerque for Jackson Paul Forester, grandson of U.F. Melot. Motion carried. 3-Motion made to have the B.I.A. manage all contracts on the Home Improvement Program. Motion carried. 4- Motion made that the Committee plan and construct with the help of various Tribal Mbrs, a Citizen Band Potawatomi Village near the old Community House. Also to write a letter to be sent to local tribal mbrs requesting help in constructing this village. Motion carried. 5-Motion made that a proposal be drawn up to buy a Pitney Bowes Copy machine with CHR funds. Motion carried. 6-Motion carried to draw up an proposal to serve the 31 Citizen Potawatomi that need bathrooms and septic tanks. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned. 1- 2 page Easement along with minutes, 1-2 page proposal included and 1-4 large Alignment Maps. Special Business Committee Meeting Minutes: BC.SBCM.Oct.11.1972: 1-Meeting called to order, a quorum of Mbrs present, the meeting was held in the Tribal Office Building. 2-Motion that the Committee approve the list of HIP applications including the repairing and bringing up to standard the homes of the people on the list. Motion carried. 3-Motion to send a letter of approval for an assistant for Al St. Germaine to help him inspect jobs done by the HIP Program. Motion carried. 4-Motion that a proposal be drawn up and application be made for the tribe to participate in the Tribal Government Development Program Motion carried. (RES. Pott- 73-2). 5-Motion that the tribe make application and resolution for the Community Development Program Funds. Motion carried. (RES. 73-3). 6-Motion that a Resolution be drawn up to place 3 new CHR's in the Shawnee area. Motion carried. (RES. 73-4). Meeting adjourned. BC.SBCM.Nov.4.1972: 1-Meeting called to order, a quorum of Mbrs present, the meeting was held in the office of Joe Walker at the Bureau of Indian Affairs. 2-Motion that a Resolution be adopted to sell and convey to Oklahoma Gas & Electric Company an easement through the Citizen Band Potawatomi Indian land for a electric transmission line. An approved sum of 2250.00 by the Committee was accepted and motion passed. (RES. 73-5). Meeting adjourned. Along with minutes, 1 page is a letter from Pete Veitenhemer and another memo from William Pruner re: Electric line.
