DescriptionBlue military jacket-"Ike" style that was worn by Joseph D. Melott. In the condition report created by Stacy 5/20/2015 she states, "Air Force Ike Jacket is made up of woolen material fabric. 2 pins with letters U.S. on color. Left shoulder pocket has a ribbon bar with 10 ribbon medals which are L to R: Soldiers Ribbon, Air Force Presidential Unit Citation Ribbon w Bronze OLC, Outstanding Unit Award, AF Good Conduct Medal w Bronze OLC, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal w Bronze Star, Korean Service Medal, Longevity Service Medal, NCO Prof. Mil. Educ. Ribbon, United Nationas Service Medal. Insect Damage throughout". Three snaps on front and one blue button on each wrist. Number on tag with item.

Finding AidUnited States Air Force service dress jacket worn by Joseph D. Melott during his military career (Dec. 18, 1946- April 30, 1968). This style of jacket was known as an Eisenhower “Ike” jacket after General Dwight Eisenhower made it popular during World War II. Joseph D. Melott retired as a Senior Master Sergeant. 2 pins with letters U.S. on collar. Left shoulder pocket has a ribbon bar with 10 ribbon medals which are L to R Soldiers Ribbon, Air Force Presidential Unit Citation Ribbon with bronze oak leaf cluster, Outstanding Unit Award, Air Force Good Conduct Medal with bronze oak leaf cluster, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal with bronze star, Korean Service Medal, Longevity Service Medal, Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Military Education Ribbon, and United Nations Service Medal.
