DescriptionPARTIAL INVENTORY- Lithograph of Woody Crumbo's Buffalo Dancer. The image depicts a dancer (proper right side) with his right leg up and his face up. He is wearing fur on his head (along with buffalo horns), his back, and his legs. He is wearing a broadcloth and appears to be holding a knife in his proper right hand and a shield on his proper left. There are feathers throughout his regalia. The background is white and the image is comprised of various shades of brown, red, yellow, blue, black, and white. On the proper bottom right is "Buffalo Dancer" and on the proper bottom left is "Crumbo Woody M. Crumbo 311/1275". The inner mat is red, the outer mat is yellow, and the frame is dark brown wood. NMAI has a similar item and the record reads, "ARTISTS/MAKERS: Woody Crumbo (Woodrow Wilson Crumbo), Potawatomi [Oklahoma]/Oklahoma Muskogee (Creek), 1912-1989 DONOR: R. E. Mansfield (Richard E. Stacy wrote "ART.2008.65" on the back. Item is listed in the "Woody Crumbo Paintings Inventory March 23, 2005" as being located at "Clinic Front Entrance".
