Call to order: Chairman Barrett called the meeting to order at 6:45pm followed by the
invocation and roll call.
First item of business: Minutes from the previous meeting held on December 3, 2015.
Motion to approve the minutes as read was made by Representative Schmidlkofer and
seconded by Representative Barrett. The motion passed with 16 in favor, 0 opposed, 0
absent and 0 abstaining.
Second item of business: Resolution 16-38-J&PS: A resolution confirming the
nominees for tribal judicial office subsequent to confirmation by the General Council.
Motion to approve Resolution #16-38-J&PS was made by Representative Eva Marie
Carney and seconded by Vice Chairman Capps. The motion passed with 16 in favor, 0
opposed, 0 absent and 0 abstaining.
Third item of business: Resolution 16-39-J&PS: A resolution approving and
supporting the fiscal year 2016 Family Violence Prevention Services grant application
to the United States Department of Health St Human Services' Administration for
Children and Families. Motion to approve Resolution #16-39-J&PS was made by
Representative Wesselhoft and seconded by Representative Eva Marie Carney. The
motion passed with 16 in favor, 0 opposed, 0 absent and 0 abstaining.
Fourth item of business: Resolution 16-40-J&PS: A resolution approving and
supporting the Citizen Potawatomi Nation's fy 2016 continuation application to the
Indian Health Service for funding of the Domestic Violence Prevention Initiative.

implementation thereof, if awarded. Motion to approve Resolution #16-41-TC&A was
made by Representative Schmidlkofer and seconded by Representative Lambert. The

Sixth item of business: Resolution 16-42-TC&A: A resolution supporting the submission
of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation's fy 2016 First Nations Development Institute Native
Youth Culture grant application. Motion to approve Resolution #16-42-TC&A was made
by Representative Schmidlkofer and seconded by Representative Eva Marie Carney.

Eighth item of business: Resolution 16-44-TC&A: A resolution authorizing the Citizen
Potawatomi Nation's application for funding under the National Park Service fy 2016

Ninth item of business: Resolution 16-45-Ed: A resolution approving the Citizen
Potawatomi Nation's grant application for funding under the U.S. Department of
Health & Human Services' Administration for Native Americans fy 2016 Sustainable
Employment and Economic Development Strategies program. Motion to approve
Resolution #16-45-Ed was made by Representative Schmidlkofer and seconded by

Tenth item of business: Resolution 16-46-HHS: A resolution approving and supporting
the Citizen Potawatomi Nation's fy 2016 continuation application to the Indian Health
Service for funding of a Youth Methamphetamine/Suicide Education and Prevention
program. Motion to approve Resolution #16-46-HHS was made by Representative
Wesselhoft and seconded by Representative Kraft. The motion passed with 16 in favor,

Eleventh item of business: Resolution 16-48-NR: A resolution approving a fee-to-trust
acquisition application to the Bureau of Indian Affairs and request for trust acquisition

Thirteenth item of business: Resolution 16-50-NR: A resolution adopting the Citizen
Potawatomi Nation's Transportation Improvement Plan and approving submittal of the
plan to the Federal Highway Administration. Motion to approve Resolution #16-50-NR
was made by Representative Kraft and seconded by Representative Barrett. The

Fourteenth item of business: Resolution 16-51-NR: A resolution supporting the
addition of new routes, as identified in Attachment A and dated 2-15-16, to the
Nation's existing Road Inventory Field Data System and requesting the Bureau of Indian
Affairs add these new routes to the Nation's Road Inventory Field Data System. Motion
to approve Resolution #16-51-NR was made by Representative Johnson and seconded
by Representative Schmidlkofer. The motion passed with 16 in favor, 0 opposed, 0
absent and 0 abstaining.
Fifteenth item of business: Resolution 16-52-NR: A resolution supporting the update
of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation's Long Range Transportation Plan and requesting the
Bureau of Indian Affairs implement these changes to the Nation's Long Range
Transportation Plan. Motion to approve Resolution #16-52-NR was made by
Representative Whistler and seconded by Representative Eva Marie Carney. The
motion passed with 16 in favor, 0 opposed, 0 absent and 0 abstaining.
Sixteenth item of business: Resolution #16-53-LCoE: A resolution enrolling 192
applicants into the membership of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation. Motion to approve
Resolution #16-53-LCoE was made by Representative Schmidlkofer and seconded by
Representative Barrett. The motion passed with 16 in favor, 0 opposed, 0 absent and 0
abstaining.
Seventeenth item of business: Resolution 16-54-NR: A resolution authorizing the
Citizen Potawatomi Nation to collect tribal consultation fees for Federal
Communication Commission (FCC) undertakings for applicants of wireless
telecommunications facilities, authorized under the FCC's Nationwide Programmatic
Agreement. Motion to approve Resolution #16-54-NR was made by Representative Eva
Marie Carney and seconded by Representative Lambert. The motion passed with 16 in
favor, 0 opposed, 0 absent and 0 abstaining.
Eighteenth item of business: New tribal attorney George Wright was introduced to
the legislators by Tribal Attorney Greg Quinlan.

discussed.
Twentieth item of business: Adjournment: There being no further business before
the Legislature, motion to adjourn was made by Representative Schmidlkofer and
seconded by Secretary-Treasurer Trousdale. The motion passed with 16 in favor, 0
opposed, 0 absent and 0 abstaining. The meeting adjourned at 9:45pm.
